Next stop...Nationals for Speech and Debate!!!

Andy Dekaney is going to Nationals!!!!
Select eligible representatives from our Speech & Debate team competed at the Space City National Forensic League District Tournament this past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in hopes of advancing to the national level. The competition was stiff but all three of our kiddos advanced through tothe final day of competition.

Bianca Montgomery emerged victorious in the end!!! She earned one of three slots in the Dramatic Interpretation event.
Ms. Freeman and Mrs. Mcnaspy are very proud of all of our competitors:
Kordell Sanders, Gia Dao, and Bianca Montgomery. If you see any of these students around please help us in congratulating them. Each of these students had to work hard over the course of the year just to earn thepoints needed to attend a qualifying tournament.
Way To Go!!!!
Bianca Montgomery will go on to compete at the National tournament in Kansas this June!

Congratulations again to DHS CHOIR!
This weekend, the Wildcat Chorale (Varsity ensemble), along with other choir students, traveled to San Antonio, TX to perform in the Alamo Showcase of Music festival.
The choir received straight superiors ratings from all judges in the choral festival! The choir also performed at the University of Texas at San Antonio for Dr. Silantien and the UTSA Choral Department. This was a wonderful addition to the awards and performances received during the UIL Contest on lastweek.
