"What a Difference a Day Makes"
Dekaney High School Education Students
Volunteer Service Learning
Dekaney High School education students learned the value of service work through the impact they made onthe Anderson Elementary students, as well as practice presentation skills, and learned how tomake adjustments quickly in unpredictable situations, (which as teachersknow, they happen often in the classroom.) By participating, these high school students will not only qualify for scholarship opportunities, but many find their calling to become teachers, work with students, or within the educational field in many ways.
